Lilac Creek's Alice
DOB 2018
16hh
3/4 Thoroughbred, 1/4 Clydesdale
Wellington Waterloo Hunt, and Toronto and North York Hunt
2nd field only as not yet jumping. She did spend a little time in first field with TNYH.
Alice was purchased in late 2021 for the purpose of being a broodmare in my hunt horse breeding program ( I have a Clyde/TB stallion). I chose her due to her bloodlines and exceptionally kind temperament.
In 2022, we backed her and started her under saddle. She hunted with WWH twice as a 4 year old - second field.
She was bred in 2023 and has since given us two beautiful fillies 2024 and 2025.
We are taking a break from breeding and hope to find a wonderful hunt horse home for her. I started her back under saddle in August and she has been fantastic and eager to learn. She rode second field with TNYH at their Ladies' Day Fixture recently which surrounded her with much pomp and circumstance. She was very manageable despite being excited and keen.
I have not yet started to school her over jumps but she willingly took a few smaller fences in the hunt field. I took her to an indoor for the winter and have polished up her flat skills.
Alice has enough thoroughbred blood to be a first field horse and I would recommend her for an experienced rider who would like to further her development. This prospect would be perfect as a first field or staff horse.
She is safe, sound and sensible. I am an equine veterinarian and have a full set of x-rays, available upon request.
