Spot is a big, solidly built, well-hunted horse that would be perfect for an intermediate rider looking to have a blast out hunting. He has hunted for three seasons primarily with Marlborough and gone out with Greenspring and multiple hunts in VA. Spot is very confident to fences, rates himself in the field well, stands quietly at checks, and is great with crossings. Spot has gone out a few times as a staff horse and could be a field master's horse.
When not hunting, Spot events and has competed in recognized events up to the Modified (3’5) level with the ability to move up to Preliminary next season. He is uncomplicated on the flat and scores relatively well but shines in the jumping phases.
At home, Spot hacks out well by himself or with company, self-loads, and is great to clip, tie, shoe, etc.
